Magento Real Estate Website with Data Filter Tool on top of the page. I'm looking to create a Real Estate Website in Magento latest version (ver 1.4.1.1). Basically, I want the product description page of magento to be changed as a real estate listing page. The idea here is, instead of using magento as an e-commerce, I want to create it like a real estate website. Please note that there might be another 15 to 20% more work then what is in this requirement. REQUREMENTS: BACKEND: • In the backend most of the things remains same except there should be some changes in "Manage Product" section. • Creating some Static Block. MANAGE PRODUCTS: (back-end) • The manage products should have some more options like , no. of bedrooms, no. of bathrooms, location, rental season etc. (which can be easily created by adding attributes from the back-end) • Most important: While creating a Product (Listing), there should be two options "Rent" or "Sell", if the product is set as "Rent", then the "add to cart" button in the front-end product page should be enabled which will take us to shopping cart. But if the product is set as "Sell", the "add to cart" should not be shown in the front-end. Instead of "add to cart" button we should have "click here to contact us".. that will take you to the "contact us" page FRONTEND: • In the, Product Page there should be extra options like, print, email, contact us button. (if possible I would like the option to download the product page as PDF) • If possible I would also like to create a search refine functionality, in the left side bar (Layered navigation), with Dragger to choose price rage, checkboxes to choose options, • There should be some static block in the right bar - One static block should be created that contain "Featured listing", where administrator can assign product as "featured listing" on the backend and it'll show on the front-end static block. - Two static block should be created that contains: "advirtisement" (text or image) FILTER TOOL: • Filter tool is the most important tool I would like to build. Filter tool is like a "Advanced Search" tool of the magento, only the design will be different and there will be some additional costume attributes. Create a filter tool like that's shown on top of this site: http://www.realtor.com/ OR, http://www.nytimes.com/pages/realestate/ • The filter tool should be created on top of the homepage . The filter will help customers search the property by different data filter options like, price range, no. of bedrooms, no. of bathroom, Sales / Rentals, rental season, description etc. • Basically, in the magento admin, there a place to define create a custom attributes (inside Catalog > Attributes > Manage attributes), all the filter options should be created as a custom attributes first. For eg. I can create an attribute called "Location" and define different options like "location X", "Location Y". Once all the attributes are defined in the backend. We can be create a filter tool on the home page, that will search this custom attributes. • - Once you search the item using this filter tool, all the results should be displayed in the "Grid view" HOMEPAGE: • Homepage should contain the "Filter Tool" on the top • Below the Filter tool, it should contain a product grid showing the recently added products. VERSION 2: (of the same project) • Once the whole system is created, I would like to create another version of the same system, Basically I just want to make another copy of this project in a lighter version, disabling several options like shopping cart and payment, shipping, wishlist, customer login, and disabling some admin features.

A website that will allow customers (real estate agents) to upload a photograph of a home in high resolution (this we will use to place on a 5" x 3" paperweight) and allow them to design a personalized message that will go on the underside of the paperweight. Aside from a few generic web pages that explain what we do and how the product is ordered, we seek the following: - Simple design to allow the user to upload an image - On Screen WYSIWYG of personalized note (so allowing several fonts and font sizes to fit the space is required. - Ability for customer to upload their logo or choose from existing logo's that will also go on the underneath side of the paperweight. - Customer sees in Black and White what the front and back of the paperweight look like (this will ensure no spelling errors on our part) - Simple download of raw image (home) and image of note and logo in jpg form (jpg is easiest for us). - Site would capture standard ordering information and integrate with Paypal. So we would capture customers information, ship to information and billing information in Paypal. Would also retain their font, logo, message they used on the previous note. - Some flash on home page would be a plus. - Registration page that makes it easier for return customers to order as their contact information is retained. In summary, an intro page that shows our product, it's benefits, how easy to order.
